Reseña: La Gran Muralla

La gran muralla online (2017) Español latino descargar pelicula completa

China, siglo XV.

Sneak Peek - Spine chillers

Q.L. Pearce – Prose
Excerpt from Spine Chillers
Prom Date The Roller Grille was the real deal. An authentic drive-in restaurant with car hops on roller skates delivering trays of burgers and fries to people parked outside. It had been in business for decades. Other than a fresh coat of paint now and then it hadn’t changed from the day it opened. Tyler, Andy and Jacob threaded around the cars and pushed through the glass doors to the diner. A hostess dressed in a fuzzy sweater and a poodle skirt guided customers to booths covered in red vinyl. A candy-colored jukebox blared from a corner. The laughter and chatter of the crowd was louder than the music. Tyler noticed Shay jammed into a booth with her friends. He raised a hand in greeting but she ignored him. Andy pointed to the long soda fountain. “There’s room over there.” Tyler nodded and they each claimed a stool. “What’ll it be?” Randy, the soda jerk adjusted his black bow tie and gave them a toothy grin. The boys ordered shakes. Andy whirled around once on his stool and stopped to face Jacob. “So do they have any place like this in Phoenix?” “No. This is pretty cool.” He looked around and his eye settled on a wall of photographs. “Who are those people?” “Those are the prom kings and queens from the high school,” Tyler answered. “Wow there’s like a hundred of them. What’s the deal with those two?” Jacob pointed to a black and white photo that was larger than the rest. Tyler slipped into telling the story that everyone in town knew by heart. “That’s Johnny Tonnarro and his girlfriend, Samantha. He was like a rock star a long time ago.

He got killed in an accident off Yetter Point.” “It was a foggy night. He drove his car off the cliff and got squished like a pancake,” Andy added. “His girlfriend waited for hours in the cold for him to show up. She was all dressed for the prom and crying like a baby.” Jacob gazed at Samantha’s sweet face. “That’s sad. What happened to her?” Tyler lowered his voice for effect. “She drowned a year later on the anniversary of the accident. She was down on the jetty throwing flowers out into the ocean, those stinky white ones…gardenias. A wave swept her off the rock. Some people say they’ve seen her.” “Seen her? What do you mean?” Andy took up the story again. “Every year around this time her ghost waits out on Thorne Road near Highway One for Johnny to pick her up. Just standing there crying.” Randy placed the shakes in front of the boys and joined in. “This time of year the evenings are usually foggy,” “They say she waits just off the edge of the road in the mist - lavender gown, white gloves, and gardenias in her long, blonde hair.” Jacob’s mouth dropped open and his eyes grew wide. “Really? A real ghost? You’ve seen her?” Taylor and Andy couldn’t hold back their laughter. “Nobody’s seen her,” Andy snickered. “It’s all made up. Not the accident part but the ghost part. Jacob frowned. “So Samantha didn’t really die?” “Oh, yeah. She died alright. She drowned. But only little kids and tourists swallow the ghost story. You have to be a real lamebrain to believe it. Last year the town newspaper offered a ten thousand dollar reward for anybody who could get a photograph of her. There were a lot of fakes but nobody’s earned the money yet.” Still grinning, Tyler turned to take a sip of his milkshake and caught a glimpse of Shay. She was staring toward the entrance. If looks could kill, her eyes were lethal weapons. Tyler followed her gaze. “Uh oh,” he whispered and his smile faded. His brother was holding the door open for Anilla Jacoby, Shay’s arch-enemy. Anilla beamed up at Lane and slipped her arm through his. The couple slid into a booth. Shay stood and stormed toward the door without looking at them. “This isn’t good,” Tyler muttered. A moment later his phone beeped. He read the text. Come outside now. We need to talk. Shay was waiting for him as he pushed open the door. “I thought I would die of embarrassment. I can’t believe he would show up here in front of everyone with that airhead hanging on him like that. Now I know why he’s been avoiding me.” She turned on Tyler. “How long has this been going on?” “Don’t ask me. This is the first time I’ve seen him with Anilla.” “He needs to pay a price for humiliating me like that. I want to embarrass him in front of all of his friends!” Tyler shifted nervously. “Shay I don’t want to…” “Think of something!” “Look, Shay. Maybe you should just let it go. He’s my brother. I can’t …” “I’m not going to let this go, Tyler.” She leaned in and growled. “You’re with me or against me. And trust me, if you want to survive high school you don’t want to be against me. I can make your life miserable.” Shay turned and stomped away.

About three things I was absolutely positive.

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was a part of him—and I didn't know how dominant that part might be—that thirsted for my blood.

And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Twilight - Book 1
Reading Format
For me it seemed much more interesting to read it, there were very funny parts I loved that and one of the things I liked the most was that it was easy to identify with Bella, at least for me since sometimes they tend to happened things very similar to what happened to bella in the book.
I liked that in the book Bella had more personality and it was not as simple as it seems in the movie, and Edward killed me he was like a mischievous child really.
The ending was good to be the first book and I liked that by the end the plot gave some pretty interesting twists, but the rest was not boring and it was quite consistent and had a funny plot.

Review: The Invisible Hand

The Invisible Hand is about a boy, Sam, who has just started life at a boarding school and finds himself able to travel back in time to medieval Scotland. There he meets a girl, Leana, who can travel to the future, and the two of them become wrapped up in events in /Macbeth/, the Shakespeare play, and in the daily life of the school. The book is the first part of a series called Shakespeares Moon. Each book is set in the same boarding school but focuses on a different Shakespeare play."

Physical book
at first it was hard for me to understands what was happening, but that was also true for our protagonists, as you advance more in the story you become one with it and want to know more and discover all the secrets that the plot is holding.

I became very fond of Sam and Leana and the little hint at the end of what play is coming next was so cool.

It has everything you need in a book, romance, intrigue, a little craziness and of course interesting characters, a must for fantasy and plays fans.

Well my first book haul of the year was quite productive to say the least truth.
Between Steps of Power y Amazon, the truth that I asked for several books super interesting and I still lack one of  Barnes&Noble but that will come later.
The first on my list were Kings or Pawns and Heroes or Thieves, the first is excellent and the second I still have to read it, but soon see that review here. I was lucky that the author J.J. Sheerwod sent them to me signed and as a gift sent me two bookmarks of the characters on his books, that fascinated me.

The following was Truthwitch, by Susan Dennard I had seen it in my country with another cover but seeing this obviously should have it is beautiful and the story is heard super interesting.

For the collection arrived Mirror Image that is a book of suspense, terror to the best mythological style of Michael Scott and Melanie Ruth Rose, simply could not miss in my shelf.

The most awaited was definitely King's Cage by Victoria Aveyard, because less I stay without knowing that ends up happening in this saga.

Maze Runner

The Maze Runner

 Wes Ball

Noah Oppenheim (screenplay), Grant Pierce Myers (screenplay)
T.S. Nowlin (screenplay), James Dashner (novel)
Thomas is deposited in a community of boys after his memory is erased, soon learning they're all trapped in a maze that will require him to join forces with fellow "runners" for a shot at escape.
I watched this movie a while ago, it was pretty cool, like really awesome, I loved it and who don't it has drama, action, sci-fi, it a good movie and again in the dystopian genre.
It was pretty cool the way they get around the plot, because you begin knowing almost nothing at all and you begin to discover everything at the same time the characters do, meanwhile you will begin having your conjectures about what it's really happening and maybe you will get right but most likely you will discover the truth when the protagonist do.
The interesting thing of Maze Runner it's the fact they don't know why they are where they are, I mean a lot of boys in the middle of a fortress it's not what you call conventional, the way they adapt to their rules and try to find a way out it's very interesting.
I think all can enjoy this movie because it's fun to watch and it will get you at the edge at all times.

Cover Reveal: Summer Trouble

 Title: Summer Trouble
Series: A Ruby Romp Novella
Author: Ruby Rowe
Genre: Erotica Romance
Cover Design: Jo-Anna at Just write. Creations
Release Date: March 9, 2017

I tried to keep my distance. I knew how much trouble Summer could cause me once she was, in her words, “legal.” She wouldn’t accept that being my best friend’s sister meant she was governed by another set of laws.
She was the forbidden fruit.
The “off-limits” trophy prize I couldn’t win.
The “don’t look and sure as hell don’t touch” female in my life.
But Summer pushed until I was backed into a corner. My hands and mouth had nowhere to go but on her. That was my story, and I was stickin’ to it.

I’d known Colton Graham all my life, and he was always a pest … until he wasn’t. That handsome face and masculine body he grew into became hard to look away from, and the more he matured and distanced himself from me, the more I wanted him close.
Since I’d grown up with a brother, I knew how college guys operated. Relationships were off the table, and fine by me; I only wanted two adventurous months with Colton. I knew he wouldn’t be my last, but I was hell-bent on making him my first. What was the harm in that? I could do casual … or so I thought.

Summer Trouble is a Ruby Romp Novella, meaning it contains insta-lust, along with an abundance of dirty talk and graphic sex. It can typically be enjoyed in one reading, so get ready for a fast-paced “get your panties wet” ride.

Stretching out on my bed, so my toenails and fingernails can dry, I close my eyes and get lost in Luke Bryan’s Pandora channel. Without warning, my earbud is yanked out, and Jason is standing over me, wearing a smirk.

“Wake up, Jenny. Forest is waiting downstairs.”

“What? What are you talking about?”

“You know, Forest, from that movie Mom watches all the time.”

I sit up at the side of the bed. “I know what you mean, but I swear I don’t have a boyfriend. I’m not seeing anyone,” I rattle off.

“I’m not the damn relationship police. I don’t care if you’re dating someone or not. I’m just telling you Zane’s at the door.” Stepping back, he scowls. “You’re so dense I can’t even joke with you.”

Holy shit. Zane and Colton are both here.

Shooting to my feet, I scurry from my bedroom and barrel down the stairs. Once I reach the bottom, I’m about to go straight out the front door, but something tells me to turn around and face the hallway next to the stairs. Colton is right there, maybe three feet from me, and I believe his glare could lead a protest march.

Lord, he’s so sexy. His shoulder is casually leaning against the wall, and a heavy work boot is crossed over the other. He’s in a filthy white t-shirt and faded jeans that are hugging his impressive package. Skin glistens with sweat and dirt, and I want to mount this man who’s all kinds of gorgeous from manual labor.

“Tell the weakling you can’t come out and play, pack a bag for the night and then park behind my house in twenty,” he whispers aggressively. “I want to punish you.”

Ruby Rowe’s debut novella releases March 9, 2017; however, this is not her first book. She began writing in January of 2013 under the pen name Scarlet Wolfe, releasing contemporary and young adult. She soon tried her hand at writing erotica romance and fell in love with the genre.
The pen name Ruby Rowe came about this year when she decided it best to keep her racier books separate from her young adult romances. She also has plans to branch out and release straight erotica, however, she’s a romantic at heart, and believes it will be difficult not to include it in every story.
When not writing, Ruby reads naughty books about possessive, hot alpha males. She has an addiction to Pinterest, pinning all the sensual photos she can find. She loves bacon, coffee, and other flavors of ice cream besides vanilla. ;) She hopes her writing will allow her readers a reprieve from the real world, giving them an opportunity to live out their fantasies.
